Total Car and Truck Registrations for Indiana and Counties (Indiana BMV)

- Note: This static report is used by the Indiana State Auditor in the distribution of highway funds. It has different reporting requirements and therefore the totals are inconsistent. Please contact the Bureau of Motor Vehicles about questions regarding the reporting requirements between the two outputs.
Vehicle Make by Vehicle Year (Indiana BMV)
- The first output table shows counts of each make of vehicle and the percent distribution based of the year the vehicle was made. The second table shows the particular vehicle make as a percent of all the cars in the selected geography. Both outputs are the makes of passenger cars only.

Most Common Make by County and Concentration Indexes
As highlighted in the "Hoosiers Strongly Prefer Domestic Autos" article, this spreadsheet displays the most common vehicle make in each of Indiana's 92 counties. Additionally, it provides index values for each vehicle make in comparison to the state to determine how much more or less likely a county is to own each specified type of vehicle.
